Brief

I was young and wanted to design T-Shirt prints, but I had no money for giving the task to a print company. So I decided to establish my own silk-screen printing garage production. I built a wooden silk-screen printing table (until this one broke after a year, so I bought a small silk-screen printing carousel instead).
I created the print stencils using a big light bulb with a high percentage of UV light.
My way of printing was quite amateurish and took very, very much more time than if I had used special machines – but finally it worked and it was fun.

I created T-Shirts for friends and their teams of volleyball players, dancers, theater actors, landscape gardeners and artists.

When I started my studies at Stuttgart Media university (HdM) in 2011, I felt like in paradise, when I saw the professional standards there! However, I didn’t study a print course. Iput my focus on electronic media. But it was like wonderland, anyway!

A very popular T-shirt was the Nostalgic Bulli T-shirt. See the pictures below.
